Thank you for volunteering!  WYSA is a volunteer organization and we are not able to provide our program to the youth of Westford without your contribution of time, effort and passion for the sport!

WYSA tries to place all coaches interested in coaching. Once we have placed players on rosters, we then look at available volunteers associated with that team.  That may leave us with 6 coaches that have volunteered for one team and no coaches for another team which leaves in the position of telling some coaches we are not able to assign them to a team that season while still sending out emails asking for volunteers.

In the situation that we have too many coaches for a team, preference is given to coaches who are licensed. (See the coaches section of MA Youth Soccer's website www.mayouthsoccer.org. for course information.)

When volunteering, please make sure you use your full legal name and the same email address across all of your accounts (Westford Youth Soccer, Massachusetts Youth Soccer, training accounts, etc.)

All adult volunteers are required to complete the following:

1. Register with Westford Youth Soccer Association - this lets us know you are interested in coaching.  Once you do that, you will receive instructions in your confirmation email on completing the remaining steps.
2. Register with Massachusetts Youth Soccer Association as a returning adult (using the same name and email address as Westford Youth Soccer).  This will initiated the background check if needed
3. Complete SafeSport training - for the Fall 2024 / Spring 2025 soccer year, SafeSport training must be completed on or after January 1, 2024
4. Complete Safe and Healthy Play Environment training (aka concussion training) - for the Fall 2024 / Spring 2025 soccer year must be completed on or after June 1, 2023
5. Complete CORI verification - one time in-person process where your CORI verification form is compared to your government issued photo ID.  Emails are sent out 1-2 weeks before the first games with dates/times of when verification sessions will be held.  Emails are only sent to those individuals that need to complete this process.
