All players currently in grades 2-7 who wish to play on a WYSA travel team during the 2025-2026 season are expected to attend. Skill assessments are an important evaluation of each player's skills and are used when building our travel team rosters. WYSA travel rosters are comprised of “like skilled” players.  WYSA engages with an outside group of professional coaches to run the skill assessments and evaluate our players.

Sessions will be held rain or shine. In the case of inclement weather that forces cancellation, then a makeup date will be scheduled on June 12.

Players not attending skill assessments do run the risk of being placed onto a lower team.  It is very important to have as much data as possible in your player profile.  If you are a second grader or are new to WYSA, then skill assessments are even more important.  To guarantee your best team placement for Fall 2025 and/or Spring 2026, all players should attend skill assessments on their scheduled night.  Please contact your Age Director with any hardships.

Players must attend the session for their current grade.

What to bring?

- Properly inflated soccer ball

- Black/white reversible jersey.  Bringing both a LIGHT shirt and DARK shirt are a suitable substitute, such as your MAROON travel jersey and GRAY travel jersey.

- Shin guards (must be completely covered by socks)

- Comfortable footwear (cleats recommended)

- Water

Bringing the black/white reversible jersey or a LIGHT shirt AND Dark shirt is very important because the players will scrimmage most of the night, so we need a way to split them up into teams.  We will have a small number of pinnies available, but obviously will not have time to launder them between sessions.

Thanks,
WYSA
