The Grade 3/4 Rec program uses a balanced team format with skilled and developing players split equally between teams. Teams play other Westford Rec teams and possibly teams from neighboring towns such as Acton. The program is only offered if there are sufficient players registered by the deadline. Players attend the skills assessment in the spring. If the program is not offered players are automatically transferred to the travel program or provided a refund depending on the option selected during registration. Players attend the skills assessment in the spring.
The Grade 3/4 Travel program is a competitive program focused on challenging players by placing players of similar skills in division and playing against similarly skilled teams from surrounding towns. Players wishing to play Grade 3/4 Travel must attend skill assessment in the spring to help determine their team and division placement. MYSL has regulations governing roster sizes. In the event that the number of registered players will not divide equally into teams WYSA reserves the right to drop players as necessary to ensure the correct number of players per team. See "About Travel Soccer" for details.
