TRAVEL UNIFORM SALES - Sept 9th and 10th

Travel Uniforms for U10 travel, U12 and U14 will be available for purchase at the Jack Walsh Snack Shack:

Thursday, September 9th (5:30 pm - 7:00 pm)
Friday, September 10th (5:30 pm - 7:00 pm)

WYSA changed to new travel uniforms beginning with the Fall 2009 season. If you do not have the maroon and white travel uniform you will need to purchase the new style travel uniform.

Prices: Jersey - $30; Shorts $15; Socks $10; Complete Set $55 (these prices are valid only on the 9th and 10th.) Checks or cash only.

at the British Beer Company a Great Success!

WYSA thanks the British Beer Company for hosting Preview Night and all of our members and friends who attended. As a result approximately $2,500 was raised for the Community Fields project!

Fall Soccer is Almost Here!
Information for Players

SEASON START DATE
In-Town (U6, U7, U8 and U9/10 In-Town) - Sept 11th
Travel (U10 travel, U12 and U14) - Sept 11th
HS Age - Sept 19th
Season ends in November

PLAYER NOTIFICATION
Coaches will be contacting players in late August to early September depending on age group. See below for more details.

Travel players (U10 travel, U12 and U14) will be contacted by their coaches in late August. If you have not heard from your coach by September 1st please contact the appropriate age director.

In-Town Players (U6, U7, U8 and U9/U10 In-town) will be contacted by their coaches in late August. If you have not heard from your child's coach by Sept 1st please contact the appropriate age director.

High School players will be contacted early to mid-September. If you have not heard from your child's coach by September 9th please contact the appropriate age director.

UNIFORMS
In-Town Players (U6, U7, U8, and U9/U10 in-town) and High School players will be provided team shirts at their first practice.

Travel players (U10 travel, U12 and U14) must have the new maroon and white style travel uniforms. If you purchased the new maroon and white uniform for Fall 2009 or Spring 2010 you are all set. If you do not have the new style travel uniform you will need to purchase a new uniform. Referees at their discretion may not allow players wearing the old style maroon and black uniforms to play in the game. Travel uniforms may be purchased September 9th and 10th from 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm at the Jack Walsh Snack Shack.

EQUIPMENT

Benefit the Westford Community Fields!

Westford Youth Soccer Association and the New England Revolution are proud to announce a brand new fundraiser for the 2010 soccer season to benefit the Westford Community Fields!

For every ticket to the New England Revolution 2010 season purchased through the WYSA website, the New England Revolution will return a small portion to WYSA for the Westford Community Fields Fund. Our favorite part about this fundraiser is that it gives our members an opportunity to support the Westford Community Fields and their family can enjoy the excitement of professional soccer!

As it stands right now, we live in a community with a strong sports culture, but a soccer culture has yet to arrive to New England. We feel that exposing our players to professional sports at a young age can have a great impact on their enjoyment of the sport as well as their decision to stay with soccer as they get older.

To purchase tickets through this program, all you have to do is go to our homepage http://www.westfordyouthsoccer.com/ and click the link with the Revolution logo on the lower right side. Once there, you can select the type of ticket package you want and pay using a credit card. In order for the Westford Community Fields to receive the donation be sure to select “Westford Youth Soccer” from the drop down menu when you buy your tickets. Packages available include: Season Tickets, Four Game Packs, Birthday Blasts, and Single Game Tickets.

For those of you who have already experienced the excitement of New England Revolution soccer and those of you trying this fun family activity for the first time we really appreciate your willingness to support Westford Youth Soccer and thank you for supporting the Westford Community Fields!

Accepting Late Registrations for most Fall 2010 Programs!

Registration Deadlines:

Travel (U10, U12, U14) - accepting late registrations for most programs
HS Age - accepting late registrations for most programs
In-Town (U6, U7, U8, U9/10) - accepting late registrations for most programs

General Information:

Click on the "Registration Info" or "Register On-line" tabs on the left of the homepage to register. (www.westfordyouthsoccer.com)

For General Information on our programs see the "General Information" tab at the top of the website. For age requirements for the different age groups see "Eligibility" under "General Information"

If you have questions about which age group your player should register for please contact the appropriate division director. See Contacts page for contact info.

Please note the deadline for requesting refunds for the Fall 2010 season is August 1, 2010

Late registrants will only be placed on teams if there are available spots. A $20 late fee applies.

Important Information for U9/U10 Players:
U9 players (born between 8/1/2001 and 7/31/2002) play in the U9/U10 In-Town age group.

U10 players (born between 8/1/2000 and 7/31/2001) have the option of playing in the U9/U10 In-Town program or the U10 travel program.

Most soccer communications (team assignment, game schedule, team notices, etc.) are sent by email through our website. In order to make sure you receive these important emails please do the following:

Make sure your Spam Filter allows emails from
Periodically check your spam and junk mail folders to make sure important soccer communications haven't been marked as spam.

You may have also checked the "No Email" option or unsubscribed to emails. If you want to receive the emails click here for instructions or click on "Parent Resources" and then select "Parent Instructions for WYSA Web." The instructions are at the bottom of the page.
