Fall 2020 Soccer Season

Fall 2020 Soccer Season

Dear WYSA Members,

After careful deliberation we have decided to wait until mid-June to open registration for the Fall 2020 soccer season.  This will allow us to have a better understanding of the plans and restrictions for resuming youth sports.  We will continue to monitor information from Massachusetts Youth Soccer, Middlesex Youth Soccer League, Federal and state authorities, and the Town of Westford.  Once registration is open we will notify all members via email.

Best regards,
Westford Youth Soccer Association

WYSA Spring Season Canceled

WYSA Spring 2020 Season Canceled

Refund Update 23-May-2020:  We have started processing refunds for the canceled spring season and you will see these appearing on your credit card statements.  Please bear with us as we process refunds for approximately 900 players.  Because so many of our registrations were paid in late 2019 we are working out special arrangements with our credit card merchant to refund the older payments via credit card.  We will get all of the refunds processed as quickly as possible.  If you registered your children at different times you may receive refunds for each child at different times. Thank you for your patience as we work through the logistics.

Bonnie Neuhardt, Registrar

Dear soccer families,

In conjunction with recent announcements by the Governor's office, as well as soon-to-be-released statements by the Middlesex Soccer league, it is with great sadness that we must cancel all Westford Youth Soccer programs for this Spring. We had hoped that course of the pandemic would change significantly, however it has become evident that we still have a ways to go before things return to the way they were. As always, the health and well-being of all our participants, including players, coaches, referees and spectators, is of the utmost importance and we don't want to jeopardize that in any way. So we feel this course of action is necessary to ensure everyone's safety.

As a result of this decision, we will be issuing refunds for registration fees paid for this season. Because this process is somewhat new to us, it may take a little time for us to complete this action, however rest assure we will do everything in our power to complete this as quickly as possible.

We wish you and your families good health in the upcoming months, and hope to see many of you on the pitch again soon.
